Revenge, the action of inflicting damage or harm on psyche for a wrong suffered at their hands. Throughout Hamlet, retaliate is a recurrent theme. Hamlet works up to be a traditional Shakespearean tragedy and a gory visit play but then it comes to a halt. The main turning away of the play deals not solely with Hamlets broad awaited successful vengeance on his fathers murderer, but by means of Hamlets personal struggle to finally make a track down and give his father justice. Hamlets revenge against Claudius causes his eventual downfall and everyone elses, who is touch on in Hamlets life. The corruption of the characters in the play is essentially committed to the extreme measures Hamlet takes to achieve revenge.
Fortinbras, Laertes, and Hamlet all call for the same thing. This is to retaliate and avenge the deaths of their fathers. But while laborious to attain this, all three dep abrogate more on emotion and feelings than thought. They listen to their heart and let those passions get the better of them. They take an extremely big risk which in the end leads to the demise of all but one. Hamlet and Laertes both hear revenge on each other for their fathers deaths.
Laertes knows Hamlet killed his father with no real objective for doing so just out of pure anger. Lartes is also livid at Hamlet because he is involved in an unapproved relationship with his secondary sister. Both Hamlet and Laertes are encircled by so much ongoing conflict in the play causing hatred and resentment of each other. Hamlets incapability to be a man of quick action in completing his revenge in time leads him to fight Laertes and lose his life.
