Stating that a clear concept should be developed on opportunities for education to young people, Dr. Rao said that the employment growth should be twice that of the economic growth if everybody was to get the benefits. He pointed out that on that point were representations from the industry for framing syllabus to suit the needs of employers and to create job-ready youth.
Dr. Rao said that the new education policy laid wildness on humanism, research and excellence, but there was also the great need for institutions to think about job opportunities for the youth.
