The year was 1863, and the states were at war. The United States of America wasnt even a hundred years old, and the freedom our forefathers had fought for was at stake. The South had declared war on the North 2 years earlier. Thousands of men from both the Northern states and southern states had died or were injured. Families were torn apart. The country was torn apart, and the South was winning at this point. Then had come the Battle of Gettysburg.
On June 30, 1963, just 5 daylights before the countrys Independence Day, the companions walked from Chancellorsville, VA to Gettysburg, PA meeting the spousal relationship Soldiers half way. commonplace Robert E.
