Between Primates and Humans
While find the primates at the San Francisco Zoo, one question kept lasting me. Are we really that different? The physical similarities are kinda obviousâ€"from their dexterous hands and similar body emblem to their humanlike expressive faces; even children can see that they check us. Many will argue that our complex brains, use of language, and the world power to walk upright are a few of the differences that smash us from primates, but while observing the gorillas and chimps, I motto many of the same behaviors that we exhibit. When taking into account the fact that we persona between 98%-99% of our DNA with gorillas and chimpanzees, I became increasingly alert that we need not look very far to resume the origins of human behavior. The study of primates can indeed open many of the mysteries and answer many questions that many have had close to our own species for many years.
The two primate groups I sight were the Western Lowland Gorillas (Gorilla, gorilla, gorilla) and the Chimpanzees (Pan Troglodytes), both at the San Francisco Zoo. I arrived at the zoo at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010. I decided to esteem the gorillas first, and I enjoyed experiencing the antics of the infant gorilla, Hasani.
The gorilla bound is quite large and provides a lot of pose for roaming,

climbing, and playing. There are four viewing field of operationss, and I chose to observe closest to one of the females and Hasani. The space is a grassy airfield and includes several rock formations, trees, stumps, and fallen tree branches.
The chimpanzee enclosure is quite different. It is not as large and much more than jungle-like, containing overgrown weeds and lots of lush greenery. The surface area is not as flat, and it contains a structure in the centralise which provides access to both sides of the enclosure.
