Do they believe in it? As in actively? It depends on who you talk to. Personally, I dont believe its wrong IF divinity has said that its a point in time to lend peerlessself it. For instance, David with his m each wives (before Bathsheba, the sin of that encounter being she was already married.) The seer of the time SAID that God had given those wives to David. So, is it evil? I dont think so, not when God says its allowable.

Why is that? Because the Bible says so. The intensity of Mormon actually makes a heated case against having any more than one wife.

What do their wives think about it? Personally, Im successful that right now God is saying we dont contract to act it. Im glad that not every member was ever asked to use up multiple wives, even when it was being practiced. And Im glad I dont have to deal with it.

Does it promote divorce.... I dont think it would today since no one practices it in the church at this point. If it was reinstated, then it would be a conflict of religious beliefs, which is a leading cause of divorce, so I could see it happening.
