In addition, some self-proclaimed psychic practitioners call themselves parapsychologists, but that is not what we do.

Parapsychologists are very interested for what psi implies about the nature of the perception and memory. They are interested in psi phenomena because it addresss many age-old philosophical problems, for example the utilization of the mind in the physical world, or The subjective vs. The objective.
